Honeymoon at Manali

Manali  is a beautiful honeymoon hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Manali with a population of approx. 30,000 is administratively a part of the Kullu district. The small town is the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin.
Manali and the surrounding area is of great significance to Indian culture and heritage as it is said to be the home of the Saptarishi, or Seven Sages.

Climate of Manali in different seasons:
Being located in the Himalayan range of mountains, the weather of this hilly region is predominated by a cold atmosphere all through the year, when the average temperature ranges in between 4' C and 30' C. Following are the three distinct seasons of this Himachal Pradesh city:
  • Summer Season: During the summer season, the average temperature stretches from 14' C to 20' C. The unique feature of the climatic conditions of this place is that, it remains cold even during the summer months.
  • Monsoon Season: The rainy season in Manali, mainly starts from the month of July and continues till November. Normally, the place receives a precipitation of around 2, 17mm during July and about 31mm in November. However, on an average, the rainfall received by this place is approximately 45mm in the spring and winter season, whereas, 1, 15mm during monsoon. The average yearly precipitation in Manali is around 1, 363mm.
  • Winter Season: The winters of this place are quite cold, when the average temperature falls down to as low as -7' C. The average temperature during the winter season varies in between -7' C and 10' C though. Snowfall during the period in between the month of January and the starting of February month is one of the common aspects of Manali winter season.
